This position requires 2-5 years experience and a thorough understanding of the application process in powder coating. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining all paint line equipment, spraying a variety of powder coating finishes on simple and complex parts focusing on 100% coverage, and housekeeping to ensure no contamination. Must be able to read engineering drawings and have the ability to change according to QC requirements for coating, be able to wear a respirator, and be accountable and dependable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-Up and Maintain paint line equipment including wash, pre-treatment, and paint guns of a Nordson ColorMax3 Powder Spray System while utilizing standard procedures to achieve desired results within quality standards
- Spray a variety of finishes on simple and complex parts focusing on 100% coverage and complete defect free product (No blemishes, bare spots, or light spots)
- Housekeeping of booths to ensure no contamination as well as sweeping, picking up, shutting down, cleaning & sorting caps, sorting hooks, trash, and crushing boxes
- Complete related paperwork
- Trouble Shooting
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Read, understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Read blueprints / specifications
- Understanding of the application process in powder coating
- 2 – 5 Years Powder Coating Experience
- Ability to change according to QC requirements for coating
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Frequent physical functions including standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, grasping, and other unnatural positions.
- Ability to wear a respirator
